Friday's activities included (from Plan B):

Explore the Banff area, then van to Kananaskis Resort.

In the morning, take the loop ride to Lake Minnewanka, past the Two Jack Lake campground (which was closed due to Grizzly bear sightings), back through Banff and the Bow River waterfalls, out to the Banff golf Club for lunch.  Several options were available for the afternoon - a scenic ride to tunnel mountain, a short ride to the cave and springs, or a diamond ride up the mountain.  Then a caravan (VBT van, team slow van, and Lee and Dede's SUV) to Kananaskis Resort, the site of the nordic events for the 1988 wintger olympics.
