Sunday started off a liitle cold - see the first two pictures below!! After another hearty breakfast, Jay and Betsy did some reconnoitering to the sister inn owned by the same innkeepers who owned the Sterling Inn - the French Manor, built by Joseph Hirshhorn as his country estate in 1932. The morning's activities consisted of more crosscountry skiing (Pat, Paul, Betsy, KT and Max), hiking (Ed) snowshoeing (Carl), and hanging at the inn (Jay andDoris).

Ed had recommended a diner in Jim Thorpe PA. He and KT had to get back to Wilmington, so Betsy, Pat, Paul, Jay and Max headed for ther Sunshine Diner for lunch. (Unfortunately, Carl took a wrong turn, and wasn't able to join us.)

Jim Thorpe is a funky little town on the Lehigh, known for the Molly Maguires in the late 1800s, and the Harry Packer Mansion. Today Jim Thorpe is an artsy craftsy b'n b kind of town, with hikiing and river rafting nearby. Maybe our next weekend excursion?
